Hello and welcome to my first post under my own name.
Previously I've been doing a little blogging about my journey to become a 'professional photographer' whilst raising a large family. Well it is now official and I have arrived..and it's all about me...and my work of course!
Recently I have undertaken a few special projects one of which I will share tonight. Last Friday I undertook a photography workshop with Angie Baxter a wonderful, dynamic and warm portrait photographer. Angie closed the knowledge gap I had with regards to some technical aspects of my photography and now it is time for me to get out there and realise my passion and dreams.

Angie organised two shoots, one indoor and one outside in the park. The first shoot involved two yummy mummies and their beautiful babies. The second shoot involved the most gorgeous family of four. Not only were they blessed with beauty but they were so loving and natural in front of the cameras (there were a few of us :) ) I am still mesmerised by little Jed's big blue eyes!
I'd have to say that my preference is outside and my images from this day support this. That and my longer lens appreciated being further away than I could get indoors. I very much enjoy the wider angle that some lenses bring to the table but the narror depth of field and the fact that filling the whole frame with someone or a couple gives you a more intimate moment...well that just gives me goosebumps!
The image at the beginning of my blog is my favourite of the day. To me this image is an intimate moment capturing the love between mum and daughter. It just oozed love, affection, protection and even more love! Aren't they gorgeous!!
